Vision

Our vision is for an inclusive & diverse Irish creative screen industry which supports sustainable careers for carers and parents. We envisage a creative screen industry that openly values and celebrates caregiving and parenthood, promoting equity of caring amongst genders and recognising caregiving as a vital aspect of a balanced life.

We want carers and parents to feel like they belong in our creative screen industries.

Purpose

Raising Films Ireland seeks to shift the culture within the Irish creative screen industries by creating a more diverse, inclusive, equitable and sustainable working environment for carers & parents.

Clare is an Actor, Writer, Director and Mother. Having worked across film and theatre her whole career, she is passionate about making the arts more accessible to people with caring responsibilities.

Grace Odumosu

Grace Odumosu is an Irish/Nigerian solo parent, actor, and Producer working at Keeper Pictures. Grace holds a BA in acting from the Dublin Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree in Drama Therapy from NUI Maynooth, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Producing from TU Dublin.

Jennifer Davidson

Screenwriter and Chair of the Writers’ Guild of Ireland, Jennifer is also serving her second term as Chair of the International Affiliation of Writers Guilds. A writer with over 100 tv drama credits to her name, Jennifer is also a fierce advocate for writers, and has developed and run a number of training and development initiatives for writing talent at all stages of their careers. In 2023, she founded her own production company to champion and develop great stories and talent rooted in the west of Ireland.

Director at Raising Films. Co-founder/Director of Green from Script to Screen consultancy, specialising in climate storytelling on screen, and sustainability onset. Development Producer/Script Editor/Producer, loves writers, loves scripts, shapes story from concept to development and onto funding. Builds GEDI creative teams, cast and crews and provides childcare on set. Menopausal mother of a preschooler (and an IVF advocate),and a returner to the industry, having previously cared for parents for eleven years.

Aisling Malone

Project Manager / General Manager

Ais Malone wears multiple hats in the screen industry and is a mam to 4 year old. She is the project manager with Raising Films Ireland. Ais is also a creative producer, running an independent production company called Rye Films and is a PhD researcher with TU Dublin School of Media, funded by TU Dublin’s ARISE. Her research is focused on the Irish Creative Screen Industries - developing best practices for engendering an equitable, inclusive, sustainable and diverse culture and work environment for people to thrive in.

Administrator

Film and Television Lecturer and Course Coordinator for the BA in Film & TV at CDCFE (University of Wolverhampton). An RTS Award-winning television producer, she has worked extensively across factual programming for leading UK and Irish broadcasters. She combines teaching with industry advocacy through her work with Raising Films Ireland, is Co-Director of NiftyPics, and is a parent of two.
